Programs and Projects 2024

AOE International is dedicated to transforming lives and communities through a multifaceted approach that addresses essential needs and builds sustainable development. The focus areas of our projects span across education, food security, human services, and workforce development, ensuring comprehensive support for underserved populations. Our projects are implemented in Alabama, Georgia, Virginia, Maryland, and Washington, DC. By partnering with local organizations and leveraging community resources, we create tailored solutions that uplift individuals and build resilient, thriving communities.
Our flagship initiative, the Clean Energy Career Pathways Program (CECPP), is designed to equip underserved communities in Huntsville, Alabama, and surrounding areas with the skills and certifications needed for high-paying jobs in the renewable energy sector. This year-long program provides comprehensive training in OSHA 10, NABCEP PV Associate, and essential life skills, ensuring participants are well-prepared for careers in clean energy.
In the hospitality sector, our WorkforceAdvantage project focuses on advancing quality jobs in Atlanta, Georgia. This initiative aims to provide targeted outreach and recruitment efforts to bring more diversity and equity into the hospitality industry. We offer training programs that enhance employability skills and provide pathways to career advancement within this sector.
The Heroes to Hired (H2H) Program is designed to support former service members and their spouses in the Washington, DC area, particularly those facing significant barriers to employment, such as disabilities and challenges transitioning from military to civilian careers. The program addresses critical gaps in employment services, mental health support, and access to affordable childcare, ensuring that veterans and their families receive the comprehensive support they need to thrive in a competitive job market.

Heroes To Hired Program

The Heroes to Hired (H2H) Program serves veterans and their spouses in the Washington, DC area, particularly those facing significant employment barriers, such as disabilities, minority status, or challenges re-entering the workforce. The program addresses critical gaps in existing services, including the need for specialized employment support tailored to veterans, better integration of mental health services for conditions like PTSD and TBI, and improved access to affordable childcare.
These gaps are particularly pressing due to the high cost of living, competitive job market, and the ongoing impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the local economy.

The Clean Energy Career Pathways Program

Our flagship initiative, the Clean Energy Career Pathways Program, aims to empower individuals from underserved communities, particularly Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC). Our program provides comprehensive training and industry-recognized certifications such as OSHA 10 and NABCEP PV Associate.
Equipping participants with essential skills and credentials, we open doors to high-paying jobs in the renewable energy sector. Our strategic partnerships with local employers and training providers ensure relevant and up-to-date training, facilitating job placements and long-term career growth for graduates.
