Our History

Founded on March 13, 2023, AOE International emerged from a collective vision of community leaders, educators, and social advocates who recognized the urgent need to address the multifaceted challenges facing underserved communities. The nonprofit was established with the primary goal of empowering communities by tackling critical needs in education, food security, healthcare, workforce development, and housing

The idea for AOE International was conceived during a series of meetings held throughout 2022. These discussions highlighted the interconnected nature of social issues and the necessity for a holistic approach to community development. A core group of founding members, passionate about social change, formally registered the nonprofit in early 2023. These founding principles remain central to AOE International’s mission: promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion, and fostering a supportive environment where every individual is treated with respect and dignity.
Since its inception, AOE International has launched several successful pilot programs, including food drives and a community health initiative that serves over 100 families. The organization’s flagship initiatives, such as the Clean Energy Career Pathways Program and the WorkforceAdvantage program, will make significant strides in providing comprehensive training and support services to underserved populations, particularly focusing on Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC).
Looking forward, AOE International aims to expand its services, increase partnerships with local organizations, and secure additional funding to scale its impact. The organization is committed to continuous improvement and innovation in its approach to community development. By developing collaboration and community-driven solutions, AOE International is dedicated to creating a brighter, more equitable future for all.
